Newport Residences is the residential component of an upcoming mixed development at 80 Anson Road. This project occupies the site of the former Fuji Xerox Tower that is owned by City Developments (CDL).

CDL is redeveloping this prime site at Tanjong Pagar within the Singapore CBD. The site is bounded by Tanjong Pagar Road, Bernam Road, Anson Road, and Keppel Viaduct that runs above Keppel Road.

Newport Residences condominium will offer 246 apartments for sale. The rest of the development, Newport Plaza, will include the office block called Newport Tower.

What is drawing a lot of interest is the fact that Newport Residences is the only mixed development currently that is on freehold land.

The launch of this project was originally supposed to take place in early 2023. However it was delayed by the new cooling measures, that effectively choked off the foreign buyer market, as which Newport Residences showflat launch was targeted.

That is because Newport Residences’ pricing is likely to be close to $4,000 PSF, which is generally above the pockets, or interest, of local buyers.
